Making its first UK acquisition, international hotel operator RIMC Hotels & Resorts has bought 30 James Street in Liverpool.
The hotel is known as the “home of the Titanic” as it was once the headquarters of the White Star Shipping Line.
Savills, on behalf of manager Moorfields Advisory, successfully completed the sale of the building in the heart of Liverpool city centre.
Prime central location
The independent hotel operating company, RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group, will operate the hotel, says the Hamburg, Germany-headquartered group.
The hotel now features 63 spacious rooms and the seventh-floor Carpathia Rooftop Restaurant & Bar, with stunning views of the Mersey River and Liverpool Waterfront from the outdoor terrace.
In addition at 30 James Street, there is the historic hall (formerly the Check In Hall for ships’ passengers) which is now used for events. It also has a spa area with indoor pool, saunas and treatment rooms.
The property is in a prime, central location in Liverpool city centre, offering easy access to some of the city’s most visited attractions, including the Royal Albert Docks, Liverpool ONE, the Museum of Liverpool and Tate Liverpool.
