Trinity Bank has acquired a listed building Na Příkopě 33, Prague, in what is believed to be the biggest office deal in the Czech Republic this year.
Although the price has not been disclosed, leading agent Knight Frank says this is the biggest office deal in the Czech Republic this year.
The seller of the 16,000 square meter building, which was built in the 1930s, is HausInvest by Commerz Real, which is part of the Commerzbank Group.
Na Příkopě 33 is in the center of Prague near Republic Square, close to two metro lines and four tram lines.
Radomír Lapčík, founder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Trinity Bank, says, “We are very happy to have acquired these prestigious premises for our clients. Interest in our services is constantly growing and we expect over 150,000 clients soon.
“We want to respect the positive history of this place, where the most famous Prague café, Cafe Francis, was visited by František Palacký and Ferenc Liszt. We want to revive the building and bring it closer to the people of Prague, so we are planning various cultural events, social gatherings or ‘pop-up’ activities. “
