Danish developer and investor AKF is selling a portfolio of 10 industrial properties in Greater Copenhagen to Blackstone.
The portfolio of at least 83,300 m2, is southwest of Copenhagen, close to the E20 motorway. Seven of the properties are on Avedøre Holme near Hvidovre, while the remaining three are in Albertslund, Glostrup and Ishøj.
The 10 industrial properties are being sold to companies owned by Blackstone-managed funds.
The portfolio is leased to a wide range of tenants, ranging from industrial companies to major transport and logistics companies. AKF Chief Executive, Ino Dimsits, says, “We are really pleased to have found a buyer who can continue to develop and manage the portfolio. For AKF, sales mean that our liquidity is significantly strengthened and we are therefore ready to embark on new, exciting projects.”
AKF was advised by Holst, Lawyers Law Partner Company, led by Anders Hedetoft, as well as Colliers in collaboration with Cushman & Wakefield l RED.
Peter Winther, Executive Director and head of Colliers’ Capital Markets team, says, “We see a very strong interest from the foreign investors in the industrial and logistics market in Copenhagen and other major Danish cities. The sale of AKF’s portfolio confirms that there are still buyers who find it interesting to invest in the Danish market.”
