Affinity Partners, owned by Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, plans to invest more than $1 billion in property development in the Balkans.
The US-based private equity firm is in advanced discussions on investing in hotel developments in Albania and Serbia and Mr Kushner posted details on the social media platform, X.
He wrote, “Excited to share some early design images for development projects we have been creating for the Albanian coast and downtown Belgrade.”
Affinity Partners plans to transform the 1,400-acre Sazan Island, in Albania, into a luxury Aman eco-resort community, reports Bloomberg.
It also aims to revitalize a historic area of the Serbian capital, Belgrade, with a luxury hotel, museum, and more than 1,500 luxury apartments.
Affinity Parters is also hoping to invest in renewable energy, data centers and AI projects.
It is working with Ric Grenell, former US Ambassador to Germany, and New York developer Asher Abehsera.
