P3 Logistic Parks, a leading developer and long-term owner of logistics properties in Europe, is taking over the Atlantic One warehouse in Wilhelmshaven’s JadeWeserPort, Germany.
The property, which has over 13,000 square metres of logistics space was bought from Peper & Söhne Unternehmensgruppe. It is fully let to four companies.
The Atlantic One was completed in 2021 and, with around 11,600 square metres of hall space, 1,030 square metres of office space and 670 square metres of mezzanine space, offers excellent facilities and flexible usage options. It is directly connected to the entrance of the JadeWeserPort and the associated freight transport centre in Wilhelmshaven as well as the A29.
Expanding Atlantic One committment
Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director of P3 Logistic Parks Germany, says, “As the only deep-water port in Germany, the JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven not only has an excellent location but also great growth potential. Last year we already secured a project development site there and are now starting the construction of a logistics park with 140,000 square metres of rental space. With Atlantic One, we are expanding our commitment at the location and will be able to serve both big box logistics and smaller space enquiries in the future. We look forward to working with our partners on site.”
The property was designed to be sustainable and certified to the DGNB Gold Standard. The state-of-the-art warehouses are equipped with a digitalisation prototype that not only measures gas, electricity and water consumption, but also has sensors that measure air quality, humidity, temperature and floor load separately for each unit. The results can be displayed via live transmission, including fault messages.
Christoph Peper, Managing Partner of Peper & Söhne Unternehmensgruppe, says, “Atlantic One is a very good example of the added value that digitalisation can deliver for the logistics property asset class. We are certain that Atlantic One will ideally complement the portfolio of P3 Logistic Parks at the JadeWeserPort location and would like to thank all parties involved for the very pleasant and efficiently organised transaction discussions.”
P3 was supported in the purchase by the law firm FPS Partnerschaftsgesellschaft von Rechtsanwälten mbB as well as technically by TA Europe. Peper & Söhne was advised by Blaum Dettmers Rabstein Rechtsanwaltspartnerschaft mbB. The transaction was brokered by Robert C. Spies Industrial Real Estate.
