Investment manager Deka Immobilien has bought a Central Business District, Dublin office for around €37 million.
The Dublin office building at 40 Molesworth Street is in one of the city’s most coveted areas, where attractive investment opportunities are limited. The office, on the south side of Molesworth Street at the intersection with Dawson Street, is now part of the WestInvest InterSelect fund.
It includes a prestigious reception area, plus showers and bicycle parking spaces. The building’s sustainability initiatives are underscored by its important LEED Gold and BER A3 certifications.
The fully leased Dublin office houses the Irish headquarters of the international law firm DLA Piper and a branch of the optical and hearing services provider Specsavers.
Close by are Leinster House (home to the national parliament and much of the public administration), Trinity College, and Grafton Street–Dublin’s premier retail district.
A spokesperson says, “This acquisition strengthens our presence in one of Europe’s most vibrant economic centers and reflects our commitment to high-quality and sustainable real estate developments.”
