Logistics and real estate specialist GLP has acquired two logistics warehouses in Janki near Warsaw, Poland.
The buildings, which total 37,600 square metres, are currently leased to brands in the logistics and food import industries. The price was undisclosed.
Their strategic location close to the S7 and S8 expressway intersection, provides easy access to the Warsaw market and major conurbations in central and southern Poland.
The site, to be known as GLP Warsaw VII, provides modern, high-quality, solar-ready warehouses. GLP will be working with the occupiers to enhance the sustainability credentials of the buildings and to increase the BREEAM certification levels.
GLP’s footprint in Poland totals more than 1.5 million square meters, with an additional 283,000 square meters of space identified to be developed.
Marek Jandous, Director of Investments and Asset Management CEE at GLP Europe, says, “This acquisition reinforces GLP’s strong presence and investment expertise in key Central European markets. The addition of GLP Warsaw VII will further strengthen our existing logistics portfolio of six fully leased logistics parks near Warsaw.”
GLP was represented by local law firm GREENBERG TRAURIG Nowakowska-Zimoch Wysokiński during the acquisition.
