Invesco Real Estate Acquires Cloud One Gdańsk Hotel in Strategic Poland Investment

Invesco Real Estate has announced the acquisition of the Cloud One Gdańsk hotel in Poland, acting on behalf of its German client. The seller is Granaria Development Gdańsk, a joint venture created by Immobel and Multibud. While the acquisition price has not been disclosed, the deal underscores investor confidence in Poland’s growing hospitality sector.

The seven-story Cloud One Gdańsk hotel is located on Stągiewna Street in the vibrant Granary Island (Wyspa Spichrzów) area, just 2 km from Gdańsk’s main train station and close to the historic Old Town.

Granary Island is a major tourist attraction, making it an ideal location for the Motel One Group, which will operate the hotel under a 25-year lease agreement. Motel One is an international hotel chain with a strong portfolio of 94 hotels across 12 countries in Europe and the U.S.

The Cloud One Gdańsk hotel has already earned a BREEAM “Very Good” certification, showcasing its commitment to sustainability. Plans are underway to upgrade the certification to “Excellent”, further solidifying the property’s appeal to environmentally conscious travelers and investors alike.

Scheduled for completion in 2024, the hotel is a strategic addition to Invesco’s portfolio. Its prime location and long-term lease agreement with Motel One Group reflect a forward-thinking investment approach in a recovering hospitality sector.
