The five-star Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort

Romanian company Paval Holding and hotel operator Apex Alliance of Lithuania have bought the five-star Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort in Switzerland.

The 150-room hotel, in the village of Films, in Graubünden, is one of the largest resorts in Switzerland. The terms of the purchase have not been revealed.

The purchasers want to modernise the infrastructure, technical systems and other amenities at the Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort. They also want to enhance the unique character of the historic buildings, heritage and interior design. The reopening is scheduled for 2025.

Historical significance of Waldhaus Flims Wellness Resort

Our goal is to preserve these unique elements while carefully renewing the resort to offer our future guests an outstanding experience, while always respecting the hotel’s roots and its importance to the region.”

Apex Alliance Hotel Management, one of the Apex Alliance group’s companies, will be the hotel operator.

The purchase was announced by the municipality of Flims. It says, “After careful negotiations and intensive examination of the available offers, a promising solution was found for both the renowned five-star hotel and the municipality of Flims.”

In 2023, Pavel Holding bought the historic Grand Hotel Gardone in Italy in 2023. It now owns 17 hotels across Europe. Two new hotels in Venice, Italy, and Tallinn, Estonia, are set to be completed by the first quarter of 2025.

CBRE Switzerland, based in Zurich, represented the seller.
